1879: Tesla Teaches In Gospić
March 24th, 1879: Tesla Deported From Maribor
Tesla was reported to Maribor police because he did not have a residence permit. Administrative proceedings were started immediately and Tesla was returned to Gospić under police guard.
April 17th, 1879: Tesla's Father Dies
Tesla's father, Milutin Tesla, contracts an unspecified illness and dies at age 60. The following day, he was given a "funeral liturgy fit for a saint," and was buried in the Jasikovac cemetery in Divoselo.
1879: Tesla Teaches In Gospić
Tesla taught a large class of students in his old school, the "Real Gymnasium" in Gospić. His former fellow student, Mojsije Medić, was also teaching there at the time. Tesla taught, but did not want this to be his future.
